Architecture Support

64-bit (x64) - Recommended

Installation Instructions

Using the Installer (MSI)

  1. 1Download the appropriate installer file (.msi)
  2. 2Double-click the downloaded file to start installation
  3. 3Follow the setup wizard (accept defaults for typical installation)
  4. 4Find PuTTY in your Start Menu under "PuTTY"

Using Portable Version

  1. 1Download the putty.exe file
  2. 2Save it to your preferred location (Desktop, USB drive, etc.)
  3. 3Double-click putty.exe to run directly
  4. 4No installation required - runs immediately
